Freebietime- YEAH!!!

Not even december yet and Christmas freebies are advertised everywhere.

Sl is not that different from RL in this matter. I don't have a christmas feeling at all now, but decided to join the club ;-)

I made a freebie (actually dollarbie) set and there's more to come. I think my next freebie will be a christmas bear. I do like to dress this little one different now and then.

Anyway here's a picture of the set called "boxes". No fantasy for a name on this one. Touch the necklace and you can switch on/ off a tune. The tune is the start of "8 days of Christmas" by Destiny's Child.

And if you come to fetch it, be sure you check Judy's shop MOOI. She set one of her dresses for one dollar for a limited time only.

I'm busy trying to make a snow-emitter. Can't find the off - switch in the script and I don't want to let it snow forever... Ow those scripts are a pain in....

A new release is on it's way as soon as the pictures are taken.

Ni Hao and a little bit more

Ni Hao is chinese and it means "how are you"or "hello". In fact if you translate this very directly it means "you good" and it's more a fact than a question.

Ni Hao i named my new sets. The texture of the beads I found on taiwanese sites so you might say these pieces are asian orientated. The main beads show a turtle (green) and a womans face(pink).

I also made a line of cute little luckboys and-girls (taiwanees again). Here are some pics to show you what they look like. The bracelet is in my group-notices right now so you can get it for free for a limited time. I enjoyed making these big time!

My freebie is another Teddy-keychain, a panda to stay in theme :-).

MOOI

This little story is about Judy. Judy is one of my best and earliest friends in secondlife.
Judy and I met in sl a long time ago. We were neighbours in a mall owned by a very nice chap who decided this mall was for starting designers and we didn’t have to pay rent (or maybe 1L per week, can’t remember ).
We started talking and because there wasn’t that much traffic we talked for hours and hours. Judy was the one that first showed me how to make a (very simple) bracelet, at that time I was eh selling secondhands I won in lucky chairs. Still have that bracelet somewhere in my inventory :-).
We had our dreams about making stuff and owning a real shop.
Judy told me her story. She is from Taiwan and a few years before she met a dutch guy and they fell in love. She married him and followed him all the way to the Netherlands to start their future together.
In the Netherlands there’s a rule for newcomers to follow a program, learn the language, learn dutch habits, learn dutch democracy and so on… And you even have to take exams.
Learning dutch is difficult, especially to speak dutch and Judy has no rl-job to make it all a bit easier for her. It’s a bit like me talking english, my tongue gets twisted and it makes me unsure if I use the right words or expressions.
The longer Judy lives in the Netherlands, so very different from her homeland, the more she got homesick, missing her family, friends and the habits and culture she was used to.
A few weeks ago, after a short absence from sl, Judy decided to buy some land and start shop and she offered me space for mine.
Judy decided to build a small mall. The mall includes her shop and mine. And thinking back in time she decided to take in new designers and give them a chance to display and sell their builds. A part of MOOI (mooi = dutch for beautifull) is designed as a place where you can learn about Taiwan, there are many colorfull photo’s to see and some explanation about the many tribes that live in Taiwan.
Judy’s main goal is not commercial but to show- and tell about Taiwanese people and culture. It’s her way to show her love for her homeland and share. I think this is a wonderfull purpose and sl is a very good platform for it.
If you’re interested go and visit. If you want Judy to give you some explanation you’ll have to wait for about two weeks, she’s moving house rl at this moment. And don’t worry Judy’s English is very fine!

Found a picture !

Hehe, finally found the picture of my new shop. The shop was originally

designed by Josepy Enzo, an elfclanner and great builder (his house is an emerald castle and a yellow brick road is leading to it). I had to change the shop because it had rotating parts, looked real cool but that was causing too much lag :-(

New main at MOOI

My new mainshop is located at MOOI.
MOOI is owned by Judy36 Twine my dutch/ taiwanese friend. Judy and me were once renters in a mall where the owner Ethan LeSabre allowed new designers to rent for free. Judy decided to give some new designers such a chance too. Opening will be 30th octobre 9-10 PDT with a lot of activities: live dj, xploder and a gift-hunt.
Your chance to see and purchase some real good new stuff for reasonable prices. Come and meet Judy, she's nice and real funny.



I'm still filling boxes, they all need a new landmark and a new notecard and necklaces and bracelets I made modify so you can adjust them if you want to.
I made a pic of my new main but i can't find it again in my computer, hahahaha. I will make a new one as soon as possible.
I made some new stuff and a nice freebie and i will release them officialy on octobre 30th.

Moontan is moving again (twice this time)

I didn't write this blog for ages. I've been busy busy busy and i made some major decisions regarding SL.

First of all I left my spot Moontan's Ridge and moved house to Moontan's Ridge (the second). This was a decision that took me a while for I enjoyed the old place (loved them beavers splashing around). Moontan's ridge 2th I build all over again and that was fun. I added some pics so you can see how it turned out to be.

Second major decision is I stopped my mainshop at Kakaue's. Kakaue relocated her main and build a huge new shop (go check it out!). This was an appropiate moment for me to think things over. I love building and I like making jewelry. But i like to build more than jewelry and I like to build in my own pace. So at this point I'm ready to start my own mainshop and just see how that will turn out. If you're interested be a little patient. The shop is under construction now but I promise you it will look GREAT :) and I'm searching land to put it on. In this blog I will make notes about the progress. That's all for now. New jewelry is on it's way (no pics yet).

I made RoundRound in 3 options~~ elfish ~~flower (with colorchange menu) ~~moonstar.

I Intend to make a charmed bracelet later. It's fun to make these small charms and i have enough ideas to make some more.

And for now...

No new items yet and maybe not yet for the next few weeks either. In exactly one week I'll be off for holidays :-) Counting the days....

I'm not taking a laptop along with me, no time for that for I'll be swimming, sun-bathing, eating, drinking, snorkling, dancing, cuddling, reading, boating, driving..... in other words I'm taking a rest, lol

Warhammer

Building is great but having fun in sl is just as good. Yesterday i was at the grand opening of Warhammer located in Elvenmyst. Warhammer is like a lasergame in rl. You're supposed to be armoured or some kind of monster. You can join Imperium or Chaos and fight eachother. I've seen the most spectacular outfits and monsters :-) Being a good girl I joined Imperium ofcourse.

There are three stages. First there's an arena, 1 on 1 fights trying to push your opponent from the stage which is getting smaller along the way. Second stage looks like the familiar lasergame stage and third stage is a battleship with corridors and corners to hide. I had a very good time, it's an exciting game and i had so many laughs my stomach still hurts :-D I'm the tall trooper in red not drinking tea.

And look at this pic from my sl cat Pits. Often when i'm working he's trying to get my attention bumping my legs or looking at me this way. I know he's not but he looks quit real, lol

Oh yes that too; made some new jewelry but no pics yet. I'll show them later.

I searched my beadbox and found the perfect beads to match this left-over organzas i have.
Kidding, for as you know my jewelry is made of prim-pixels.
And you know, when i start something it's hard for me to not keep adding stuff ;-) So the first results had three bows on them. Two people with good taste convinced me that less is more so i removed one bow...two bows. Now the necklace wasn't in balance anymore and hey it's summer, I can be excessive, eh? So I allowed myself to ad a flower (ahum).
Summer Breeze is made in organza and silver and comes in 3 colors. And again it matches Voda's-Voda's boutique- perfectly. That's because most of the time I wear her gowns, they're my favourites!

MOONTAN jewelry moved to a new shop so Starfish is no more.

The new shop is located in Clothing. It's a huge shop and it all looks so nice there :-)

I bough a new couch for the shop. The funny thing is, everyone can play with it and change texture and colors. So everytime i see it it's new to me :-D

In France

I'm in France :-) Weather is nice but could be better, it's a bit cold here in the mountains (can still see snow on the tops). The laptop works but the videocart is too simple for sl. I'm inworld now and then but can hardly move or see. So inworld I clean inventory and chat with friends a bit. Can't work so new jewelry will have to wait till next week.

Here's Aztek. The Aztek set is a freebie right now but it will only be for a limited time.

It doesn't show maybe but it's very very primmy. Come and get it in Starfish while it's still there :-) Aztek looks great with casual clothes. Next week is holiday time. I'm taking the laptop with me, don't know if it works there and there will be not much time for building.

Katties Frolic was originally designed as a custom job ...for Kattie offcourse. It needed to be a sweet simple set a 13-year old would like to wear. Ah 13, that age between napkin and tablecloth :-). Hmm translated this from dutch, is this an english saying too?

I got the permission to sell the set in store so i made a second one some more mature, glittering and with optional bling. These sets contain all: Necklace, bangles, studs, hairclip, bellypiercing and anklestrap. Could i have made up more? (Aaaah forgot to make a belt ^^)

These large number of items in a set show that i reilly liked working on them, didn't bore me at all.

Come What May

Worked my ass to finish this set in time for a bridal expo.
I needed a romantic name ;-) and one of my favourite romantic movies is Moulin Rouge. Come What May is Satin's and Christian's lovetheme. Words are over-sweet but easy to sing along ;-)
